What's new in Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1

Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1 offers the following new features:

  • It is now possible to check URLs (HTTP only) against a database of malicious URLs, and exclude URLs from checking.
  • An option to activate the application with an activation code has been added. 
  • Scanning of files on removable drives has been added to virtual machine scan tasks (full scan and custom scan).
  • You can now create a list of IP addresses that Kaspersky Security will not block in case it detects a network attack from these IP addresses.
  • Policies and tasks are now backward compatible for Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 and Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1. Policies and tasks of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1 can be used on secure virtual machines with Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0. Policies and tasks of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 can be used on secure virtual machines with Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1.
  • It is now possible to automatically transfer keys and anti-virus database updates after upgrading the application on an SVM from Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 to Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 2.0 Maintenance Release 1.
