What's new

Kaspersky Thin Client version 1.6 has the following new capabilities and improvements:

• Updating via Kaspersky Security Center: added capability for an administrator to confirm or decline an update on thin clients connected to Kaspersky Security Center, and to read and accept changes in the terms of the End User License Agreement for a new version.
• Postponed installation of updates: added capability for a user to postpone the installation of updates for Kaspersky Thin Client.
• Power-saving mode: added capability to configure an idle timeout period for powering off the monitor and thin client when Kaspersky Thin Client is inactive.
• Dual monitor support: added capability to display a remote desktop image on two monitors connected to a thin client.
• Managing access to settings: added capability to enable or disable the display of settings in the Kaspersky Thin Client interface.
• Reserve certificate for connecting to Kaspersky Security Center: added capability to issue a reserve certificate and add it to the system certificate store of a thin client using the standard methods of Kaspersky Security Center.
• Factory reset: added capability to reset Kaspersky Thin Client to its initial factory settings. To reset settings, the confirmation of the Kaspersky Security Center administrator is required.
• Updating the certificate for connecting to Kaspersky Security Center: added capability to replace the certificate used for connecting a thin client to Kaspersky Security Center. To replace a certificate, the confirmation of the Kaspersky Security Center administrator is required.
• Disconnection of a thin client from Kaspersky Security Center management: added capability to disconnect a thin client from centralized control. It allows changes to thin client settings that are otherwise limited by a Kaspersky Security Center policy. To disconnect from Kaspersky Security Center, the confirmation of the Kaspersky Security Center administrator is required.
• Improved memory management: a size limit has been set for the event log in the Kaspersky Thin Client memory to avoid overflowing the thin client memory with system events.
• Improved performance of Kaspersky Thin Client: faster transmission of a remote desktop image to a thin client, faster redirection of USB devices (flash drives, smart cards and tokens) to a remote desktop, and faster writing of data to flash drives.
• General improvements to Kaspersky Thin Client: updated user interface. More verbose error messages when connecting to a remote desktop.
• Moving the connection panel horizontally: added capability to move the connection panel used for connecting Kaspersky Thin Client to a remote desktop during a connection session.
