A dashboard in KUMA is considered universal if it is created in the Shared tenant. Dashboards created in other tenants are non-universal.
Universal dashboard
A universal dashboard satisfies the following requirements:
Can be viewed by all user roles and in all tenants.
Data for tenants is displayed in accordance with the general tenant filter.
Data in widgets on events from the database is obtained in accordance with the space settings configured for the user.
To manage a universal dashboard, you need the following rights:
To create, manage settings, or delete, you need rights to Manage shared resources. These rights grant access to all shared resources.
To view the list of universal dashboards, you need rights to gain Access to shared resources. With such rights, the user gets read access to all shared resources in the Resources section.
If you have a role with Access to universal dashboards, you can view the list of universal dashboards in the Dashboards and Resources sections, but you do not have access to other resources of the Shared tenant.
For data to be calculated in universal dashboards, you must subscribe to such dashboards. A subscription is necessary for all dashboards in the Shared tenant, even the dashboards created by you.
To subscribe to a dashboard in the Shared tenant:
In the Dashboards section, in the list of dashboards, select and open a dashboard in the Shared tenant.
Click the menu icon in the upper-right corner of the open dashboard.
In the menu, select Subscribe to changes.
If necessary, you can unsubscribe by selecting Unsubscribe from changes in the list of commands.
If a user's role involves managing CII resources, the display of information on the dashboard takes into account the CII attribute.
Non-universal dashboard
A non-universal dashboard is created in any KUMA tenant except Shared. Such a dashboard satisfies the following requirements:
Can be viewed by users that have access to the tenant where the dashboard was created.
Only users that have access to the tenant where the dashboard was created have access to the data of the widgets in the dashboard.
If the dashboard has the CII attribute, the data on the dashboard is available to users whose rights allow access to CII.
