Turning on VPN via Shortcuts
This feature is available only in the Plus and Premium subscription plans for the Kaspersky app.
Please note that the feature requires the Shortcuts app. If the Shortcuts app is not preinstalled on your device, you can find it in the App Store.
You can turn on VPN with voice commands. Say, “Siri, turn on Kaspersky VPN”, and the Kaspersky app will turn on VPN using the last selected location and protocol.
Quick start from the Shortcuts app
You can quickly turn on Kaspersky VPN in the Shortcuts app – the Turn On VPN and Turn Off VPN shortcuts are already set up. To turn on VPN even quicker, share these shortcuts to your device home screen or run them via widgets.
To share a shortcut to your device home screen:
- On your device, go to the Shortcuts app.
- Find the Turn On VPN and Turn Off VPN shortcuts for the Kaspersky app.
- Long tap on the shortcut icon.
- In the menu that opens, tap Share.
- Select Add to Home Screen.
Now you can turn Kaspersky VPN on or off from your device home screen by tapping the shortcut icon.
To run the shortcut from widgets:
- On your device home screen, swipe down or tap Search.
- In the search field, type Kaspersky or VPN.
- In the search results, select the shortcut you want to run.
