Managing network services

Before managing network services, you must log in to the tenant's self-service portal. You can view the list of network services in the Catalog section, in the Network services pane. To view information about the components added to the network service topology, click the network service, then in the Objects pane, click the expand icon. The following subsections are displayed:

• VNF is a table of virtual network functions. Information about virtual network functions is displayed in the following columns of the table:
  • Name is the name of the virtual network function.
  • Provider is the provider of the virtual network function. You can specify the provider of the virtual network function using the provider parameter in the VNF descriptor.
  • Version is the version of the virtual network function. You can specify the version of the virtual network function using the version parameter in the VNF descriptor.
  • Description is the brief description of the virtual network function. You can specify a description of the virtual network function using the description parameter in the VNF descriptor.
  • State is the state of the virtual network function:
    • PENDING means the state of the virtual network function is being changed.
    • UNDEPLOYED means the virtual network function is added to the network service topology, but the network service is not deployed.
    • SCHEDULED means the virtual network function has been added to the topology of the network service. Deployment of a virtual network function is planned on the uCPE device, but there is no connectivity between the orchestrator and the uCPE device. The network service will be deployed when communication is restored.
    • TERMINATING means the virtual network function is being removed.
    • RUNNING means the virtual network function is operating normally.
    • ERROR means an error occurred while deploying a network service that has the virtual network function in its topology.
    • SCALING means the flavour of the virtual network function is being changed.
    • HEALING means auto-healing of the virtual network function is in progress.
    • DELETED means the virtual network function has been successfully deleted.
    • UPDATING means the network service that has the virtual network function in its topology is being modified.
    • REPARING means an error occurred while modifying the network service, and the previous settings of the network service are being restored.
    • CHECKING means a consistency check is in progress for the network service to which the virtual network function is added.
    • DEGRADED means the consistency check of the network service to which the virtual network function is added revealed the inconsistency of the virtual network function.
    • RECOVERING means the virtual network function is being redeployed.
  • Auto-healing contains information about whether VDU auto-healing settings are specified in the auto_healing section of the VNF package:
    • Yes.
    • No.
  • Auto-scaling contains information about whether scaling settings of the virtual network function are specified in the scaling section of the VNF package:
    • Yes.
    • No.
• Physical network functions is the table of physical network functions. Information about physical network functions is displayed in the following columns of the table:
  • Name is the name of the physical network function.
  • Provider is the provider of the physical network function. You can specify the provider of the physical network function using the provider parameter in the PNF descriptor.
  • Version is the version of the physical network function. You can specify the version of the physical network function using the version parameter in the PNF descriptor.
  • Description is the brief description of the physical network function. You can specify a description of the physical network function using the description parameter in the PNF descriptor.
  • State is the state of the physical network function:
    • PENDING means the state of the physical network function is being changed.

• Shared network service is a list of shared network services.
• Links is a table of links. Information about links is displayed in the following columns of the table:
  • Name is the name of the link.
  • Type is the type of the link.
  • Status is the status of the link:
    • NONE means a consistency check of the network service to which the link is added revealed that the link does not exist.
    • OK means a consistency check of the network service to which the link is added revealed that the link exists.
  • Shared indicates whether the connection is being used to create a shared network service:
    • Yes.
    • No.
• UNI is a table of UNIs. Information about UNIs is displayed in the following columns of the table:
  • Name is the name of the UNI.
  • Alias is the name of the UNI at the time of being added to the network service topology.
  • Status is the status of the UNI:
    • NONE means a consistency check of the network service to which the UNI is added revealed that the UNI does not exist.
    • OK means a consistency check of the network service to which the UNI is added revealed that the UNI exists.
