Error 1311 “Source file not found” when installing a Kaspersky application

Issue

When installing a Kaspersky application, you encounter the error 1311 “Source file not found”.

Solution

Try installing the app again after completing each step. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
  1. Make sure no incompatible applications are installed on your computer.
    1. For the full list of applications incompatible with Kaspersky apps, see this article.
    2. If any of such applications are installed, remove them following the instructions.
    3. Restart your computer.
  2. Download the Kaspersky application installation package again, as the file may have been damaged during the installation or storage on the device. 
  3. Follow the instructions from this article.
