1. Open the DMG file that you downloaded from My Kaspersky or the Kaspersky website.
2. In the window that opens, double-click Install Kaspersky Safe Kids.

   The Kaspersky Safe Kids Installation Assistant opens.

3. Follow the steps of the Installation Assistant to complete the installation.

When the installation is finished, Kaspersky Safe Kids starts automatically.

1. In the Complete the Installation window, install the kernel extension, if you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to monitor real-time file activity, applications attempting to run on your Mac, and web traffic. To do this, click Install next to the Kernel extension item and follow the instructions on the screen.

   Important: Kaspersky Safe Kids will not work properly without granting this permission.

2. Click Continue.

The Sign In to My Kaspersky window opens and you can start the initial setup.

1. In the Complete the Installation window, do the following actions to ensure that Kaspersky Safe Kids functions properly:
   • If you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to monitor real-time file activity and applications attempting to run on your Mac, install the system extension. To do this, click Install next to the System extension item and follow the instructions on the screen.
   • If you want the Kaspersky Safe Kids application to work properly, allow the application to scan every file on your Mac. To do this, click Allow next to the Full disk access item and follow the instructions on the screen.
   • If you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to inspect URLs and web traffic, allow network content filtering. To do this, click Allow next to the Network content filtering item and allow network content filtering in the dialog that opens.
   • If you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to inspect encrypted HTTPS traffic, allow encrypted web traffic inspection. To do this, click Allow next to the Encrypted web traffic inspection item and install the trusted certificate in the dialog that opens.

   Important: Kaspersky Safe Kids will not work properly without granting these permissions. You must grant all permissions in the Complete the Installation window.

2. Click Continue.

The Sign In to My Kaspersky window opens and you can start the initial setup.

Important: To prevent sensitive data falling into the wrong hands and to rule out the possibility of the application being used as a tracking tool, make sure that Kaspersky Safe Kids is linked to the correct account on My Kaspersky.

In the Sign In to My Kaspersky window, perform one of the following actions:

• If you have the login and password for your My Kaspersky account, enter your credentials and click Sign In.

  Note: If you have enabled two-step verification for your My Kaspersky account, you will need to enter a code received via an SMS message or generated in an authenticator app.

• If you have registered on My Kaspersky with your Google, Facebook, or Apple account, you must create a password for your My Kaspersky account. To do this, click the Did you register via Facebook, Google, or Apple? link and follow the instructions. For more details, see the My Kaspersky help.

  Note: The availability of the option to sign in with Facebook depends on your region.

The Tell us who uses this computer window opens.

1. In the Sign In to My Kaspersky window, click Create Account.

   The Create a My Kaspersky Account window opens.

   Note: If you enter an email address that is already in use, an incorrect email address, or a too common password several times in a short period, you will need to enter characters from a picture to pass the security check.

2. In the email address field, enter the email address you want to associate with your new My Kaspersky account. This email address will be your user name. Notifications from Kaspersky Safe Kids will also be sent to this email address.
3. In the password field, enter a password for your new My Kaspersky account.

   Note: The password must contain a minimum of eight characters, including at least one digit, one lowercase letter, and one uppercase letter. Spaces are not allowed.

4. In the password confirmation field, enter the password again.
5. Verify your region.

   Note: Kaspersky Safe Kids automatically displays your region based on the settings specified in your system's Language & Region. This option determines the regional settings for your My Kaspersky account, for example, the display language and available Kaspersky applications. You can change your region for My Kaspersky later only by contacting Technical Support.

6. If you agree to provide Kaspersky with your email address for receiving informational and promotional email messages, select the I agree to provide Kaspersky with my email address to receive personalized marketing offers checkbox.
7. Click Create.

The Tell us who uses this computer window opens.

1. In the Tell us who uses this computer window, select Children or Parents and children.

   The Who do you want to set up Kaspersky Safe Kids for window opens.

   Note: If you have previously added children's details to Kaspersky Safe Kids, the list of children will appear in this window. You can either select a previously added child or add details for another child.

2. Click Add Child.

   A form for adding a child's details appears.

3. Enter your child's details:
   • Enter the child's name in the Name field.
   • Select the child's birth year in the Birth year pop-up menu.

     Note: Your child's age determines the default settings that Kaspersky Safe Kids uses to monitor your child's computer account.

   • Select a picture for your child in one of the following ways:
     1. Select a preset picture.
     2. Upload a picture from the computer.
     3. Add a picture taken with the webcam.
4. Click Continue.

The Select the account that <child name> uses on this computer window opens.

1. In the Select the account that <child name> uses on this computer window, select the account that your child uses.

   Note: Kaspersky Safe Kids only monitors standard computer accounts. If your child uses an administrator account, you can select the account and the application will convert it to a standard account. If the account is the only administrator account on your Mac, you will have to create another administrator account before the account is converted.

2. Click Continue.

   A window opens informing you that your child is protected when the selected computer account is used.

3. Click Done.

Kaspersky Safe Kids starts monitoring your child's computer account.

1. In the Select the account that <child name> uses on this computer window, choose Create an account for <child name>.

   A window for creating the account opens.

2. Enter the account information:
   • In the Full Name field, enter the name of the account owner.
   • In the Account Name field, enter the name of the account.

     Important: Use only Latin letters and numerals in the account name.

   • In the Password field, enter the account password.

     If you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to display the password characters, you can click the button.

   • In the Confirm field, enter the account password again.
   • In the Hint field, enter a hint that can help you remember your password.
3. Click Create Account.

1. Check whether your mobile device is turned on and your mobile network is available.
2. Wait until the Request Code Again button becomes available.
3. Click Request Code Again.

If the problem still persists, contact Technical Support.

1. In the menu bar, choose Help > Support.
2. In the dialog that opens, click Uninstall.

   The Kaspersky Safe Kids uninstaller starts.

3. In the window that opens, click Uninstall Kaspersky Safe Kids again.
4. In the prompt for administrator credentials, enter an administrator name and password and confirm that you want to uninstall the Kaspersky Safe Kids application.

   Uninstallation of Kaspersky Safe Kids starts.

5. Read the information about the uninstallation and click Quit to quit the uninstaller.

The Kaspersky Safe Kids application is now removed from your computer. You don't have to restart your computer after removing the application.
