Enabling accessibility on Android 13 or later
Enabling accessibility on Android 13 or later
On Android 13 or later, accessibility services are restricted for apps not downloaded from Google Play or HUAWEI AppGallery. You must manually allow accessibility services if you downloaded the Kaspersky app from the Kaspersky website.
If you update the Kaspersky app using an APK file from the Kaspersky website, accessibility services will be disabled. You must manually enable accessibility services again.
Accessibility is used for the following purposes:
- Protect app access with App Lock
- Lock device screen and protect the Kaspersky app from unauthorized uninstallation with Where Is My Device
- Scan websites with Safe Browsing before opening them
- Turn on VPN for apps or websites with Smart Protection
To enable accessibility for the Kaspersky app:
- Open the Accessibility page in the device settings and find Kaspersky.
- Turn on the Kaspersky switch. In the dialog that says that accessibility services are restricted, tap OK.
Now you can give the Kaspersky app access to the restricted settings.
- Open the Kaspersky app info page in the device settings. For example, go to Settings > Apps and then find the app in the list of apps.
- On the Kaspersky app info page, tap
in the top right corner and select Allow restricted settings.
The Kaspersky app now has access to the restricted settings.
- Go back to the Accessibility page in the device settings and find the Kaspersky app.
- Turn on the Kaspersky switch. In the dialog that opens, allow the app to have full control of your device.
Accessibility services are now enabled for the Kaspersky app.
